The University of Queensland is ranked in the world's top 50 and is one of Australia's leading teaching and research facilities. The university was founded in 1909.
The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences houses the Occupational Health and Safety Science teaching unit. The unit has been offering a Bachelor degree in Occupational Health and Safety Science (Honours), since 2010 and a Masters of Occupational Health and Safety Science, since 2013. Both degrees include courses (subjects) in occupational hygiene (covering physical, chemical and biological hazards and their control), occupational health and toxicology, and ergonomics. The unit is also active in OHS research and is currently supervising several Doctor of Philosophy and Masters of Philosophy students.
