Company description

I have provided IH/OH and EHS Risk Management Training to large and small companies for the past 30 years. These training programs have ranged from 3 hour “Ethics Courses” mandated by the American Board Of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) for anyone wishing to sit for the CIH examination.

Specific to the Occupational Hygiene Training, I have performed both, the OHTA 5-day modules as well as many tailored for specific organizations. Several of these programs have been “higher-level” workshops on industrial ventilation and current OH topics such as “Old Harzards – NewConcerns” dealing with current state of knowledge on:
Asbestos
Manmade Mineral Fibers
Crystalline Silica
Metal Working Fluids
Manganese Exposures
OH Exposures in the Oil and Gas Industry

Over my life time, I have trained an estimated 2,000 EHS professionals.Specifically to OHTA, I have taught 18 OHTA modules (in the capacity of a course director) in 10 countries spanning 4 continents. An estimated 300 to 350 candidates have attended my OHTA courses. Over 90 percent of those students are BOHS certificate holders in one module or another.

I have been a speaker on OH issues at most major international conferences including the AIHCe, BOHS, IOHA, AIOH and other international conferences. At the last IOHA conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for example, I presented five technical papers. Three (3) papers were presented at the recent AIHCe annual conference in Montreal, Canada.

At the risk of being immodest, I must indicate that several of the current senior leaders in the IH profession told me that I am the most active proponent of IH/OH education on a global scale.

Not only do I want to continue my passion for IH education on a global scale, I also want to expand it through obtaining an “International OHTA training provider” approval status under my new company “Jas International LLC (a Limited Liability Corporation), based in Hawaii so I can devote more time to OH education.
